Eric Dries has been playing jazz professionally for over twenty-five years. Prior to moving to California, he performed with the vocal jazz group Rare Silk, appearing at the Playboy Jazz Festival and other jazz festivals in Colorado. His professional experiences in California include performances of jazz, classical, and contemporary popular music at private and commercial venues.
Dries has taught jazz piano and theory in Connecticut and Southern California through private studio and at the university level. He has served as guest clinician in jazz piano at the Fullerton College Jazz Festival and has received awards from the National Association of Jazz Educators Conference for Outstanding Jazz Artist-Small Group and a scholarship award from the Lower Southern California Jazz Society.
