Adryon de León
Adryon de León, born and raised in the tiny artist’s village of Ojai, CA, now calls a slightly larger artist’s village – Long Beach, CA – home. The passionate, artistic community in Ojai combined with a Baptist upbringing created within her a unique blend of freedom and soul. Mrs. de León has brought crowds to their feet nationally and internationally as a featured soloist and ensemble member in such venues as the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA, the Roxy, Cat Club and the Mint in Hollywood, CA, the Stäat Theatre in Kassel, Germany and a wide range of venues around the US, Canada, Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and Luxembourg.
Currently, she is a featured principal vocalist/performer for the Disneyland Resort - more specifically, the newly revamped Disney California Adventure Park. Adryon is also involved in several different projects at present including front woman for small vocal jazz, Soul/R&B cover groups, and big bands – namely, Tim Gill & the Tim Gill All-Stars who perform monthly at the Disneyland Resort. Mrs. de León also collaborates, sings lead vocals, and recently performed background vocals for Macy Gray and George Clinton with the brilliant men of Upstart – an LA-based soul, funk, jazz and R&B group. In 2013, Adryon had the honor to join the renowned and much-adored funk group Orgōne, based in Los Angeles, CA. The collective recently released their new record, Beyond the Sun, featuring original material co-penned by Mrs. de León.
In addition to live performance, Adryon lends her vocals to commercial studio sessions and corporate musical acts, also in the Los Angeles area.
"Adryon de León’s voice sizzles with soul, and a fair amount of attitude, yet still clings to a sweeter timbre beneath all that vocal bravado. When she bares her soul for a song, you can be sure that the world of funk music is very much alive — and maybe even itching for a fight." - Carl Pettit, Ozy
"De León commands her listeners with an arresting amount of talent. Seriously, she’s one of the best vocalists I’ve heard ever." - Brian Clifton, Mills Record Company
