Kelsey Blumenthal began studying violin at the age of four with Bonnie Black in her hometown of Cape Elizabeth,Maine. She continued studies with Magdalena Richter and Marylou Churchill at New England Conservatory Preparatory school and Catherine Cho at Juilliard Pre-College. Kelsey has received various prizes and scholarships throughout Maine and in Boston, and she has soloed with the Portland Symphony Orchestra and the New England Conservatory Youth Symphony. She has spent summers at The Quartet Program, Yellow Barn Young Artists Program, Aspen Music Festival, Domaine Forget Chamber Session, and Sarasota Music Festival. Kelsey is currently a junior at The Colburn School Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, where she is studying violin performance with Robert Lipsett.
