Highlights of the 2013/14 season showcase Ines′ diverse musical interests: Her duo „Gifts from over Sea“ with soprano Katina Mitchell played more than 20 concerts in Los Angeles in the past months. She played lute and baroque guitar at USC Baroque Sinfonia and as a continuo player in several projects. In March she was invited to join the Colburn Orchestra in John Adams′ clarinet concerto „Gnarly Buttons“ in which she played banjo, mandolin and guitar under the baton of the composer. 2013 saw the release of “Black is the Colour,” her second album with the band „Arven,“ which promptly entered the German pop music charts. Ines Thomé is supported by grants from the „Kogel & Schmidt foundation“, the „Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now“ foundation in Frankfurt and from the „Society of Friends“ of the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts.
