Hailed as a “future star” by New York Concert Review, 17-year-old cellist Brandon Shin has performed in Carnegie Hall and as a soloist in Segerstrom Concert Hall. Brandon was a prizewinner of the Bellflower Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition and performed the Schumann Cello Concerto with the orchestra. He attended Center Stage Strings, an MPulse summer music program associated with the University of Michigan, in the summer of 2019, where he was presented in numerous recitals and master classes. He is a participant of Chamber Music | OC’s prestigious Pre-College program and was the Assistant Principal Cellist with the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra. Brandon is a senior at University High School and is cello principal of the school’s nationally recognized symphony orchestra. In his free time, he enjoys researching topics regarding astronomy and space science. Brandon currently studies under Mr. Ross Gasworth.
