Live! at the Museum

Laguna Beach Live! and the Laguna Art Museum are presenting an evening of art and music on the second Thursday of each month. The Museum’s doors are open from 5 to 9 pm every Thursday and once a month Laguna Beach Live! will bring in talented musicians to perform classical and contemporary chamber music, 7 pm to 8 pm. The concerts are free with Museum admission. Museum admission is $7/adult and $5/senior & student; free for Museum members. The Laguna Art Museum is located at 307 Cliff Drive. David Garrett,cello
David Garrett joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2000, after 10 years with the Houston Symphony and tenures with the orchestras of San Antonio, Shreveport, New Orleans, and Grand Rapids. He also appears frequently as recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist, including performances on the Philharmonic’s Chamber Music Society and Green Umbrella concerts. Olson Trio, flute, bassoon and harp
Jenni Olson, flute, Marcia Dickstein, harp and Christin Webb, bassoon
Adept at the classics, jazz and pop, these very talented women join together for an evening of solo, duo and trio works. Jenni Olson, flute, performs regularly with the chamber group Orion Winds which she co-founded and has played with various orchestras such as Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, New West Symphony, and the Pacific Symphony.  Marcia Dickstein, harp, is Founder/Director of the Debussy Trio that has played worldwide: in the US, Europe, Scandinavia and Japan. She plays with Los Angeles Music Center Opera, Long Beach Symphony and has over 375 film credits. Christin Phelps, bassoon, is a freelance chamber and orchestral musician in the Los Angeles area. She performs regularly with the Ceora Winds, teaches at Citrus College, conducts master classes and maintains a private teaching studio.

Florence and Bob Estrin

Beautiful Baroque! Harpshichord & Flute featuring Florence & Robert Estrin. Robert Estrin, musician, composer and teacher, performs concerts and presentations on the piano, harpsichord and fortepiano. He will be performing Mozart as it was written for the Harpsichord. Florence Estrin has a wide ranging career as a flutist. She has performed in many of the great concert halls including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Florence will be presenting the Family of Flutes.

Lee Zimmer

Lee Zimmer, Classical Guitar.
Lee Zimmer is a virtuoso performer who has delighted audiences with his elegance and sense of musicality both as a soloist and ensemble player. Lee has performed and taught guitar for most of his life. Currently, he is adjunct professor of guitar studies at both La Sierra and California Baptist Universities. Lee also is music department chairperson for the Fender Center’s Kids Rock Free program, where he developed the current curriculum for guitar, bass, and band studies.

Ceora Winds, flute clarinet and bassoon
Composed of Michelle Matsumune, flute, Heather Millette, clarinet and Christin Webb, bassoon, the trio have played chamber music together for 10 years, performing throughout Southern California and across the country. Evan J Marshall, Solo Mandolin
Evan J. Marshall is the World’s Premier Solo Mandolin Virtuoso.  By himself, he sounds like several of the world’s finest mandolinists performing together. His stylistic signature is Classical, with strong influences from the Italian and American Folk traditions. Country guitar legend Chet Atkins called Evan “One of the few great musicians of our time.”
