theranchnewlogosmLaguna Beach Live!’s Jazz Wednesdays returned June 17th, 2015 for eight concerts at The Ranch at Laguna Beach. Continuing on the success of last summer’s frequently sold out concerts, the series brings a variety of top jazz musicians while the Ranch provides great food and beverages in the stunning patio setting overlooking the Ben Brown Golf Course in Aliso Creek Canyon.

July 1st, 2015 - The Latin Trumpet Summit: Dizzy and Beyond!

Latin Jazz at its hottest featuring trumpeters Bijon Watson, Gilbert Castellanos and four other cats.

July 15th, 2015 - The Tim Gill & tje All-Stars featuring guest vocalist Adryon DeLeon.

Tim Gill is a dynamic, award-winning vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and tongue-in-cheek comedian who with his 10-piece band will be performing from the American Songbook.   


July 29th, 2015 - Legendary Jazz & Blues Vocalist Barbara Morrison & the Boo Crew

Her melodic voice, with its two-and-a-half-octave range, is known worldwide, as are her rich, unique, soulful and highly spirited interpretations of both, familiar jazz and blues classics, and original contemporary tunes. 


Aug 12th, 2015 - The Francisco Torres Sextet featuring Trombonist Francisco Torres

Francisco Torres is Trombonist and musical director for the Grammy-Award winning Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band.




Aug 26th, 2015 - The Patrick Bradley 6-piece Group

Bradley’s compositions feature thoughtful and energetic alternatives to the standard smooth jazz realm, richly inspired by life and reflecting Bradley’s roots in both jazz-rock fusion and progressive rock.
Joining Pat on keyboards:Andrew Camey, trumpet; Paul Navidad, Saxophones; Tony Moore, drums; Brad Cummings, bass; and, John Parr, guitar.



Sept 9th, 2015 - Katie Thiroux Quartet

Katie Thiroux is a bassist and vocalist of outstanding talent and determination. Katie was a Level I vocal winner of the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts, and the 2005 winner of the distinguished Shelly Manne New Talent Award. While in her last semester at Berklee College of Music, to which she was awarded the Presidential Scholarship.

Sept 23rd, 2015 - Jazz Wednesdays All Stars

"The Laguna Beach Live All-Stars" is comprised of musicians that have been featured as part of the Laguna Beach Live! Jazz Wednesday Series as a bandleader or as a performer with one of the featured artists on the series. In it’s 10-year, existence, The Jazz Wednesday Series has grown in size and scope, introducing the audience to the finest current, iconic, and future jazz artists. The 2015 edition of All-Stars, led by Artistic Director of Jazz for Laguna Beach Live!, Bijon Watson; continues the tradition featuring artists that have performed or recorded with: Jonathan Butler, Michael Buble, David Benoit, Quincy Jones, Queen Latifah, Chris Potter, Clark Terry, Benny Golson, Poncho Sanchez, and Natalie Cole, to name a few. This year’s featured vocalist is the talented Courtney Fortune; a rising star on the Southern California music scene. Don’t miss this fantastic night of original arrangements and music by the artists, as we close out the Summer 2015 Jazz Wednesdays Series!
