Live! at the Museum

Laguna Beach Live! and the Laguna Art Museum are presenting an evening of art and music on the second Thursday of each month. The Museum’s doors are open from 5 to 9 pm every Thursday and once a month Laguna Beach Live! will bring in talented musicians to perform classical and contemporary chamber music, 7pm to 8pm. The concerts are free with Museum admission. Museum admission is $7/adult and $5/senior & student; free for Museum members. The Laguna Art Museum is located at 307 Cliff Drive. Aug 14th, 2014 - Argus Quartet, new program plus dancers for Ekphrasis
Argus Quartet   The newly formed Argus Quartet is a Los Angeles based string quartet dedicated to challenging the musical status quo through innovative concert presentations and adventurous repertoire. Members include Jason Issokson, Violin, Clara Kim, Violin, Diana Wade, Viola, and Joann Whang, cello.

Ekphrasis: A collaboration of Laguna Beach Live!, Laguna Art Museum and Laguna Dance Festival. The groups have commissioned a short, original music and dance piece, inspired by a work of art in the museum’s collection. Artwork titled Lotus Land by Lee Mulican, composed by Alan Chan and choreographed by Bernard H. Gaddis.

Sept 11th, 2014 - Ceora Winds, flute, bassoon, clarinet
Ceora Winds   Composed of Michelle Matsumune, flute, Heather Millette, clarinet and Christin Webb, bassoon, the trio have played chamber music together for 10 years, performing throughout Southern California and across the country. Equally adept at classical standards, jazz arrangements and everything in between, Ceora Winds brings the joy of true chamber music to the community.
